[jira] [Created] (TINKERPOP-3255) OPTIONAL MATCH support

Stephen Mallette created TINKERPOP-3255:
-------------------------------------------

             Summary: OPTIONAL MATCH support
                 Key: TINKERPOP-3255
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TINKERPOP-3255
             Project: TinkerPop
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: gql
    Affects Versions: 4.0.0
            Reporter: Stephen Mallette

The GQL grammar currently only handles MATCH. OPTIONAL MATCH (left-outer-join semantics, emit a result row even when the optional pattern has no match) is a high-priority follow-on for practical usability.
