[jira] [Commented] (UIMA-2166) Annotation Editor fails to create
annotation when text is selected via by mouse movement
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-2166?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13065227#comment-13065227 ]
Jörn Kottmann commented on UIMA-2166:
-------------------------------------
The reason the Shift + Enter annotate action works is, that "Shift" changes the selection in the editor, if the key mapping for it is changed to something else it would suffer from the some bug. The enablement of the Abstract Annotate actions fails if it has to react to the described mouse selection.

> The Annotation Editor displays the text which a user can annotate. To annotate a piece of text a user needs to select the text and then use one of the two annotate actions. There are various ways of selecting the text and users usually just mix them as it fits their need.
> It turned our when a piece of text is selected by mouse-movement (press left mosue button, move, release)
> the mode annotate action does not create an annotation.
