Hi
sources should be apache compliant,
the weird part is we forked the RI but after having imported the RI
sources we replaced it immediately by another forked (I started to
work on sources with Mark on github)
so basically we have already fixes and new features compared to the RI
so I don't think we'll release the RI itself

Looks pretty good, even if the second part, adding new features is already

But your are right the first step is definitely to get sources and make
them Apache compliant.

Here's my shepherd summary:
- BatchEE is still a new podling, They have a few very active members
within the Apache community. Considering they are a forked project, I
think their first step should be to simply do a release of the forked
code, with appropriate apache headers, package names, etc listed.
Then work on adding functionality to the fork, to better establish a
base line.
