[jira] [Created] (ODFTOOLKIT-430) JIRA version number list has no
recent published jar numbers, nor trunk
Nimarukan created ODFTOOLKIT-430:
------------------------------------
Summary: JIRA version number list has no recent published jar numbers, nor trunk
Key: ODFTOOLKIT-430
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ODFTOOLKIT-430
Project: ODF Toolkit
Issue Type: Bug
Components: odfdom, simple api
Reporter: Nimarukan
Priority: Minor
Actual: The JIRA "Affects version/s" list currently contains
0.5-incubating
0.6-incubating
0.7-incubating
0.6.1-incubating
0.6.2-incubating
Expected: include versions for the published versions and current trunk:
0.8.8-incubating
0.8.10-incubating
trunk
(Maybe the intent was to have version numbers of odftoolkit only, not versions of the component jars. However the component jar version numbers now appear on search.maven.org. Seeing a released version number like simple-odf 0.8.1 and odfdom-java 0.8.10, while JIRA only shows numbers up to 0.6.1, makes it look like this JIRA is not the current place to report problems. That might discourage participation here.
Are component jars generally all released together? Would it be better to give the components version numbers that match (or are prefixed by) the odftoolkit version number? That could reduce the proliferation of version numbers in this JIRA list, and make clearer which versions are supposed to be used together.)
