This has nothing to do with SQL.

As I understand it, amavis sets up it's own daemon making calls into
the SpamAssassin::* modules itself.

When you create a new SpamAssassin object if a username is not passed
in then it tries to determine the username on it's own.  If you want
SA to use a specific username then you need to pass in the proper
username to the object create.

Sounds like an amavis problem to me.
