> Project: Flink
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Distributed Coordination
> Affects Versions: 1.5.1, 1.6.0, 1.7.0

> Fix For: 1.5.2, 1.6.0

> Similar to FLINK-9908, it can happen that in case of a non-queued scheduling failure a slot is not properly returned to the {{SlotPool}}. The reason for the failure seems to be the exceptional completion of the {{allocationFuture}} in {{Execution#scheduleForExecution}}.
