100% width for an ItemRenderer in a list with a horizontal layout?
Hi all,
i have a problem to set the width of my itemrenderer to 100% in a horizontal
list.
i want to show one item per slide. It drives me crazy. do you have any
ideas?

Yes this is an released version, but you can try Nightly Build which is 4.15.
1. Launch installer
2. Click right on combo box
3. Choose "Show Dev Builds"
4. In combo box you will have "Apache Flex SDK Nightly Build"

i am using 4.14.1 thats what the page (http://flex.apache.org/)
and the SDK installer tell me is the newest one. am i wrong?

We’ve had a release recently and they are generally at 3-6 month intervals so you might be waiting a little while for the next release.

Hi agm65,
We might some bug in the sdk - that's why I asked you for code. Did you try
using nightly build and check whether you have such problem?
As for release - We usually starting release process once we have satisfy
number of bugs fixed or some new features - such us new components etc. So
there is never specific date for release.

now i am using a datagroup within a scroller..exactlly the same ;(..thx for
testing it.
what flex version do you use? i am using the newest one with air 18.

My list looks exactly same as yours. I don't have possibility to experiment
with this now, but one tip - Try to use DataGroup instead spark List.

I'm not sure whether I understand you correctly.
Do you want to have fixed colored background in your item renderer 100%
width ?
My code looks like that [1] and my item render is filling whole list without
the problem. [2]
It's of course color after mouse roll over, but just indicating that it is
working.

first thanks for the answer.
i want 100% of the whole itemrenderer. i also added this to it:
<s:Rect left="0" right="0" top="0" bottom="0">
<s:fill>
<s:SolidColor color="0xFF0000"/>
</s:fill>
</s:Rect>
The list should show up only one item at start and the size of one item
should be the whole list size:
And thx for the tip with the label but this is just my testcode more items
will come.
my workround is the following:
set the width of item renderer manual: this.width = this.parent.width; and
on list resize (orientation change) do the same. but i am not happy with
this solution. but it works.

Hi agm65,
Actually what do not have 100% width ? ItemRenderer or content itself (in
your case Label)?
You might want to try experiment with left="0" and right="0".
Additionally if you add id name to id="labelDisplay" and inside data set:
label = String(data["name"]).toLocaleUpperCase(); you should get same
result.
labelDisplay - is an optional item renderer label component.
