To download a recorded session, it is necessary to first leave the conference room and then go to "recordings". 

The download option is not available in the file browser (unlike with other file formats such as pdf or jpeg)

It is also not available from the "actions" menu within the room.

So it took me a while to figure out how I can get hold on my recordings.
