The Media Plugin seems to duplicate the features provided by the HTMLMediaElement:
http://www.w3.org/html/wg/drafts/html/master/embedded-content-0.html#media-elements
and the features provided by the MediaStream Recording API:
http://www.w3.org/TR/mediastream-recording/

It would be nice to get the cordova plugin aligned.
