Sometimes, intermittently, when a new application is created, an index is created in ES with the alias name and the alias is not created.  Example *index* that was created:

{code}
ewo2ug001_ug21_e2e_ug_21_d08e4939-300a-11e5-8531-025918e3a964_write_alias
{code}

ES is already configured to disable auto index creation with the following setting:

{code}
action.auto_create_index: false
{code}
