Draft release announcement 0.8.0
Hi team
I'm in the process of releasing 0.8.0. Given the significant updates in
this release, I wrote a release announcement into the Github release. If
you have time, please give it a quick glance while I take a short pause:

It would be good to draft this already before voting, but I'm open to
ideas how and when to do that. One proposal is to start the release process
with a PR where this message is committed to a CHANGELOG.md in the repo
itself.

Ok I published nowand willgo to sleep. The GitHur release announcements are
editable also after publication, should there be significant objection to
anything.
Everything is now published: GH, pypi, docker.
TODO: Update web page and send announcement email.
