Q: tailoring of APR?

Hi!

I need only some parts of the API provided by APR and want to have a resulting 
binary as small as possible. Is it possible to do some tailoring of APR, 
i.e., remove parts not needed from the resulting library? Probably it is 
possible but is there a official/supported way for it?
