makefile.nt %LONG%

is there a difference between Win98 and WinNT handling of env.variable expansion on the command line. The way makefile.nt uses %LONG% when calling nmake doesn't seem to work on my Win98 machine.

Yes, I believe that's what Makefile_win32.txt is for. I do not develop on
95/98 and have the habit of using Makefile.nt.
