For directory service there is a workingDirectory attribute in the server.xml which is most likely being overriden. If it is not needed any longer we should remove it to prevent confusion for users.

Resolution: Won't Fix
In fact, this attribute *is* used. This is the one which is passed to the JdbmStore as a defalut value for the index storage, unless an index defines a specific place to store the associated files.
