Flex does something ridiculous as far as Logarithmic Axis is concerned. Adobe has released the Actionscript API for LogAxis with limited features.
For example LogAxis can show labels on the axis as powers of 10 namely 1,10,100,1000,10000 ....etc. 

It would be nice if an improvement could be made on this feature.
