Could I check that request was sent with LoggingFeature?

I use LoggingFeature to impleemnt logging of web service and clients
requests and responses.
I noticed, that even if the external service is unreachable or some coonect
timeout occurs, the message is still logged.
How could I be sure, that the mesage was sent and the correct response
received?
Or how could I log some response for connection exceptions?
