   I wonder whether there's a way is to create a "test of the build tool" kind of test for this. This is the kind of change that could be a source of regressions (albeit low-priority ones), particularly because the normal build procedures shouldn't excercise any of the functionality that's been added.
   
   The only other question I have is about the reason for the `lucene/main` "magic" path, as opposed to, e.g., simply `lucene`, which also seemed to work when I tried it.
