Problem with 3.3.1 m1

I'm in the process of preparing for the move from Tomcat 3.2.1 to 3.3.1.

I'm impressed with the configuration handling in 3.3.1 and the speed of
performance. The move
to a module approach is a big win.

I do have one problem though:
We have a directory /58k at 58k.com.

Here's my problem, jasper turns this into a package statement at the top
of each java generated file.
This turns out to be a problem because /58k starts with a number, and
the java compiler
just doesn't let you get away with any component of your package path
having a numeral as the
starting letter.

I'm open to suggestions on how to get around this...

I've tried mod_rewrite, but it seems mod_rewrite doesn't help me, jk
picks up the path anyway.

Help anyone?
