xml consumer and xml producer ?

Hi, All,

It is said XML is to be used to provide a metadata layer
whereby companies with different schemas can exchange data.
Who can provide a simple example to illustrate the usagement with one xml
consumer and 2 xml producer in
different location (diferent url)?
