Editing with BXE

Hi there i wonder if we forgot something on the way.
When we open a file in the BXE for editing it shows us the content, but 
all style elements seem to be lost.
The .rng file is defined and it should work, but whenever the rendertype 
  edit is on the document looks like never been formatted.
Any clue what i might have forgotten??
