Help: Info for using jmeter
Hello,
I am new to using jmeter. I would like to use jmeter
to do some stress testing on one of our servers. I
want to use http POST methos and send some name value
pairs to it. But I can see that jmeter does not send
out name value pairs. The name value pairs are sent
out in GET method. Is there a way I can send name
value pairs with POST in jmeter?
Thanks in advance.
Anoop

How does the app obtain the parameters?
Perhaps the app is looking in the wrong place.

Means the app that I am testing against complains it
did not get the name value pairs from jmeter. But if I
just change the same thing to GET I see them in the
server/app.

What do you mean - you don't see it in the server?
They won't appear in the URL, they are included in the body of the message.

Thats what I am doing right now. In Thread Group I
added Http Request from sampler and checked the POST
and added all name value pairs. I also added a file to
be attatched and sent. When I start after that I do
not see the name value pairs in the server but if I do
a GET I can see it int he server.

Just use the HTTP Sampler and provide the name-value pairs as required
