Tomcat and Apache

It seems to me that Tomcat 4.0.4 is already set up to connect with
Apache..is this correct?

Well, it may be that everything on the Tomcat side is set up.  But
you'll still need to do stuff on the Apache side -- like get the
module you need for the connector (e.g. mod_jk or mod_webapp) and add
the appropriate directives to your httpd.conf file.  Information on
this is available on the tomcat site.  Or search the archives of this
list.
