Feature to disable/enable components using JS

Hi All,

At present if you need to enable a disabled component then either you call an actionListener or make an AJAX call to re-render that component by changing a property bounded to the disable attribute of the component.

What this does is it makes a page a little heavy especially when you have many of such validations on a complex page. Is it not possible to have a feature where you can bind a JS function instead of binding a class level property to the disabled attribute of any JSF component?

Something like:
<t:inputText id="someID" value="#{someBean.someValue}" disabled="#{jsFunctionToDisable()}"/>

This will help in improving the response time of the page. If this is possible today then do let me know.

Thanks & Regards,
Madhav
