Excluding timer duration from transaction controller runtime

Alf Hogemark suggested another patch to remove the timer duration from the
Transaction Controller runtime, but it does not seem to work. At least not
with 2.3. Maybe you can check this updated patch against current svn
revision for inclusion in the current branch? A JCheckBox for switching to
the old mode which includes all timer duration is available.

The only problem so far is the new "parent mode" which when activated
prevents the timer exclusion.
