Subversion documentation

Hi all,

After reading a lot of the subversion book, I must admit, that
Subversion looks _much_ better designed than CVS (or should I say, it
looks designed?). And the book itself is very well-written, congratulation.

Just curious, what tool you used to write this book - docbook and a
decent renderer?

I meant the pdf (fop) output, not the html output.

We use this CSS stylesheet for the HTML versions:

   http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/doc/book/book/styles.css

Hi Brian, hi Ben,

We also use DocBook and FOP for SmartCVS' tutorial, but it looks like
you have better stylesheets. What settings you tweaked, that the
section's title starts more left than the paragraphs?

Yes, it's docbook xml (the sources are all in Subversion's repository).
We then use XSLT to produce HTML and FO, and then use the 'fop' program
(http://xml.apache.org/fop) to convert FO into PDF.

Thanks!

Actually, we used a DTD from O'Reilly called "DocBook Lite" along with
xsltproc and Jakarta Fop. That plus a Makefile and emacs... :-)
