Commit failed: PROPFIND request failed on ..., ... path not found

Hello,

Can anybody tell me what I've done to recieve such error fault...and more
importantly
how do I get rid of that error.

When COMMITTING some changes to a small project, I recieve the following error:
Commit failed (details follow):
PROPFIND request failed on
'/svn/Jacobi/!svn/bc/16/branch/epsilonmatrix/jacobisrc/dfs.h'
'/svn/Jacobi!svn/bc/16/branch/epsilonmatrix/jacobisrc/dfs.h' path not found

The project is located in a directory named 'jacobi/' and serverpath
is: http://localhost/svn/Jacobi/branch/EpsilonMatrix/

Ok, some more details:
-> I'm running an apache 2.0.48 server on a windows 2000-box, my subversion
version is 1.0.2,
and I use tortoisesvn for easy access to my repositories.

I've tried the following things:

*committing files one by one -> same error

*checking out the project in another directory 'junk/', changing and
committing  -> no problem!
(note: I have committed revision 19 from directory 'junk' .
When I now try to commit the projectdirectory 'jacobi/' the fault in
propfind
remains. ...svn/Jacobi/!svn/bc/16/branch/epsilonmatrix/jacobisrc/dfs.h'...)

* when I tried update, following error: -> REPORT request failed on
/svn/JacobiHadley/!svn/vcc/default File not found: revision '16' path
'/branch/epsilonmatrix/intel_win32.scons

thx a lot for reading so far

Peter

ps. Maybe obsolete information:
Originally I started with a project structure, like
  jacobisrc/
jacobibuild/
My path was: http://localhost/svn/Jacobi/
Because I needed several branches, I changed this structure to
trunk/jacobisrc/
trunk/jacobibuild/
branch/
tag/
This was done by renaming some directories
-> Then I created a branch named EpsilonMatrix in revision 16 :)
from then on I started to work on
http://localhost/svn/Jacobi/branch/EpsilonMatrix
