Tested this afternoon (Dutch time) the latest build at that moment at work
with Apache 1.3.12, JDK 1.2, JSDK 2.0 and the latest (stable) version of
JServ. And everything seems to work fine.

I'm using a cvs checkout of Cocoon-1.8dev from 09/18/00 on

Solaris 8 x86
SUN java version "1.3.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.0-beta)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3-beta, mixed mode)
resin1.2.b2

without any noticeable problems so far.
