I don't see it as beneficial for all Apache projects to have the same sidebar, as this would introduce "square peg in round hole" problems.  Our sidebar has probably been more discussed and thought-through than those of the other projects, which started out as website copies of each other, and given the lack of the website admins for those other projects, hasn't changed much.
