Did you ever succeed in getting Batik to work under 10.1? I would dearly
love to be able to do so, but fonts don't work for me. The 10.1.1 update
didn't improve things, either.

David,
I have not been successful at resolving the font issue either, but I
cannot claim I have tried hard (i.e., I did not investigate in details).
The only thing we know is that SVG fonts work but not system fonts.
