[jira] (MRM-1724) Cannot manually delete artifacts via web GUI
Chris Harris created MRM-1724:
---------------------------------
Summary: Cannot manually delete artifacts via web GUI
Key: MRM-1724
URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1724
Project: Archiva
Issue Type: Bug
Components: browser, Web Interface
Affects Versions: 1.4-M3
Environment: Firefox 17.0.1, Chrome 23.0.1271.95 m,Windows Server 2008, Archiva as .war file installed on Tomcat 7.0.30 (base separated from installation), PostgreSQL as back-end for FS, DataStore, and Persistence Manager.
Reporter: Chris Harris
Priority: Critical
Attachments: the_artifact_about_to_be_deleted.JPG, the_artifact_after_its_deleted.JPG, the_artifact_is_still_there_after_refresh.JPG, the_artifact_is_still_there.JPG, the_artifact_to_be_deleted.JPG
This bug has caused me considerable amounts of trouble.
If you upload a series of .jar's (for example a WebSphere runtime library of .jar's and a .pom that aggregates those .jar's) and make a mistake, you cannot delete the one uploaded artifact that you messed up.
I uploaded a pom file, but I accidentally left in -DgeneratePom=true. Now, I can't delete the pom artifact when I log in as admin and delete the artifact from the default internal repo. Archiva indicates that I successfully deleted the artifact (the green success bubble message appears at the top of the screen), but the artifact remains. It does not go away if I refresh the page, shift + refresh the page, or log out and log back in.
This forces me to delete the entire package to which I uploaded 40-something .jar artifacts. I have to start all over again.

You're right, Olivier. This problem was indeed fixed. Once I tried your latest successful build from today, it worked.
Thanks again!
