            Bug ID: 64347
Summary: Tomcat 9.033 is not compatible with
                    commons-lang3-3.9.jar
           Product: Tomcat 9
           Version: 9.0.33
          Hardware: PC
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P2
         Component: Catalina
          Assignee: dev@tomcat.apache.org
          Reporter: himank.airon@oracle.com
  Target Milestone: -----

On deploying war applications(which is embedded with commons-lang3-3.9.jar
dependency) on Tomcat 9.033, we get following exception,

--- Comment #1 from Mark Thomas <ma...@apache.org> ---
This doesn't look like a Tomcat issue. More like an application issue or
possibly a Spring Boot issue.

You'll need to provide the simplest possible WAR (with source code) that
recreates this issue on a clean install of the latest Tomcat 9.0.x release.

--- Comment #2 from Christopher Schultz <ch...@christopherschultz.net> ---
Looks like your version of spring requires commons-text, which used to be
bundled with commons-lang but is now a separate library.
