[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-12426) Add metrics history graphs to the Admin UI

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-12426?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16721388#comment-16721388 ]

Jan Høydahl commented on SOLR-12426:
------------------------------------

This would be a very nice feature for promoting Solr 8.0. Could perhaps be used to enhance the new "Nodes" view with graphs for CPU etc in place of the current number which is there now. Guess it would add quite some data traffic, so could be disabled by default but a checkbox "enable metric history graphs" to fetch graphs for the currently showing nodes in that view.

> Metrics history collected using the framework in SOLR-11779 can be presented in the Admin UI as per-collection and node / jvm graphs.
> For each collected metric there are several time-series available, each covering a different time period and with different resolution:
> * last 4 hours, 1 min resolution
> * last 48 hours, 10 min resolution
> * last 2 weeks, 1h resolution
> * last 2 months, 4h resolution
> * last 1 year, 1 day resolution
> This issue may also involve adding more configuration parameters for better control of the output and look & feel of graphs produced with {{/admin/metrics/history?format=graph}}.
