[users@httpd] Upgrading from 2.0.45 to 2.0.46

Hi All,

Is there any simple and easy way to upgrade from .45 to .46.

I can not remember what configuration flags I used when I installed apache.

So is there anyway to find these out or to upgrade to the latest version.

Thanks,

Adam

So I am guessing that if I deleted the source tree, there is no way of
finding out what the install flags where.

The file config.nice contains the options that you compiled Apache with the
last time. The command "./config.nice" will recreate your apache files when
you are logged into the top of the apache source tree.

Hello Adam:

Do you still have the source directory for 2.0.45? If your answer is
yes, check the file called config.nice or config.status. These file
have the configuration flags you used in 2.0.45, providing you didn't
delete that directory(2.0.45).

Assuming you kept the source directory from your .45 install, you should
find a file named config.nice or config.status (I can't remember the exact
name at the moment) which you can copy to the new source directory and run
to get the exact same config. Follow it with "make; make install" and you
should be done.

Joshua.
