automatic calculation of optimizer statistics

A lot of great progress was made on this useful feature during the 10.5 
cycle. Are there plans to continue this work in the coming months and 
perhaps provide a first increment for a 10.6 release in the spring?

Personally, I would love to see these plans continue for 10.6 release. Further more, I volunteer to help if it is accessible.
