Are we looking at shipping internationalized bundles or 
are we looking at shipping a single bundle which can be 
run in multiple languages, depending upon what the user 
chooses?

If we are looking at the former, <translate> may help to 
a reasonable extent.

Thats why I asked the question about demand.

I mean when displaying log messages, etc.  Not when just 
using <tstamp>

More over it is free making it immune to currency 
conversions ;-)
