   @jlaitine - Thank you, this was tested on a  STM32H743ZI and is the bases for the bootloader used in PX4. I am not sure what was broken, but I will have a look at this by the weekend. 
   
   A few questions in the mean time:
   
   The erase size is a sector.  So what is a FLASH_PAGE_SIZE? 
   
   Why not use the 64 bit write?
