you need to add a repository to your pom declaring where your corp snapshots are stored. there are no snapshots on "central".
You should create a single POM for the company that is the "root" that all projects inherit from if you want to share it.

More exactly, I was using a trunk version (rev. 227296). To have it working, I
had mirrored AND overriden central in settings.xml (done nothing in POMs) - I
know, this wasn't very clean :)

* this scenario was working in alpha-3
* I couldn't get a clue on the user list
Using a root POM is OK for me.
