Cut-off date 2.0

Hi All,

I think we have reached all our major milestones to start working on the
next release.
We have a working java 11 upgrade and Beam has been upgraded to the latest
version.
This release will not only be a simple upgrade, we have resolved over 100
tickets and will be including some nice new features too.

Unless there are any objections I suggest we aim for the end of this week
(22 May) to include/merge final changes and start the release process.

Can everyone also go over their tickets and update the status/release
version.

Thanks,
Hans

Fantastic news Hans and thank you for all the hard work you did on this
release!
I've been testing 2.0.0 a lot lately and it's really holding up nicely for
me. Let's get it out of the door!

Cheers,
Matt

Ciao Hans,

ok for me to move on. I will review some last tickets, I think there
will be no problem to close them by that date.

Cheers
