For example, check menu icons for Slide, Duplicate Slide, Comment, Hyperlink,
Animated Image, .. in men Insert, there is no icon for any of them, in Mac.
While there are menu icons in Windows.

Please see issue 95318: "follow system theme for defaults for icons on or off
in menus"

To enable the menu icons please set the menu
    OpenOffice -> Preferences -> OpenOffice -> View -> IconsInMenus
to "Show". The default is "Automatic" which means to match the system default.
As Mac applications usually don't show icons next to menu entries AOO on OSX
defaults to do it like the other applications on that system.
