uid=admin
Hello,
Per the documentation
(http://directory.apache.org/apacheds/1.5/143-changing-the-admin-password.html).
There is discussion about changing the admin password however after doing
an install I don't see this user in the directory.
I connected to the directory anonymous and I don't see uid=admin, ou=system.
Did I miss a step during install that created the admin user?
scott.

It's because you are connecting as anonymous : you can only look to the
rootDSE, nothing else.
Just connect using "uid=admin, ou=system", password "secret" and then
change the password.
