[jira] Commented: (OFBIZ-479) W3C HTML Warnings
[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-479?page=comments#action_12451523 ]
Chris Howe commented on OFBIZ-479:
----------------------------------
Hi Hederer,
Where are you seeing that the summary attribute is mandatory? Warnings in a validator does not equal noncompliance or that a tag or attribute is mandatory. If I'm not mistaken the summary, width, border, etc attributes are implied and your browser should have a default value available for those.

> When using W3C HTML Validator on Ofbiz pages, lots of warnings are generated because "<table> lacks "summary" attribute"
> This attribute is not intensively used on web pages but is an mandatory attribute in HTML 4.01.
