[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-159) Camel-Paypal Component - Include License for Paypal binaries

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-159?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13996280#comment-13996280 ]

Jonathan Anstey commented on LEGAL-159:

Is there any comment on the paypal SDK license from ASF legal? We are currently assuming such a component would have to be hosted at camel-extra (https://code.google.com/a/apache-extras.org/p/camel-extra/).

> Dear Apache Legal Team,
> Could you please check the license for using the Paypal binaries to be hosted in the Apache projects (Apache Camel)? The license is available at the following location:
> There is a Jira already created in Apache Camel Jira pages to add a new component to integrate Camel with Paypal. Here is the link to it:

Re: [jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-159) Camel-Paypal Component - Include License for Paypal binaries

Posted by Jim Jagielski <ji...@jaguNET.com>.
It doesn't even seem to be an Open Source license (approved by
OSI and/or FSF) so yes, it would need to be hosted externally
and NOT be a hard dependency (treat it as a commercial product).
