[users@httpd] Forbidden

Any ideas how I can track this?  I found: client denied by server configuration in my error.log
   
  Can anyone help?
   
  I am trying apache 2.2 on an xp machine, and doing virutal hosting.. I also have inherited .htaccess files w/ the site I am trying to bring up.
