Lose ActiveMQ connection after Karaf configuration changes
Hi,
I'm using a camel-activemq connection to a remote ActiveMQ-Broker with a blueprint route and a cfg config file.
When the route started the connection is established. I can confirm this by looking at the remote ActiveMQ webconsole that a subscriber is at the requested topic.
When I then change the cfg config file within a running Karaf - under etc/ ... the configuration change is loaded/refreshed. I can confirm this too with the conf:list (service.pid=...) command, that the config change is there. But the connection to the remote Broker is lost. The camel route is still in there but no message gets received because the connection is somehow not reestablished. Am I miss something here? A restart of the bundle doesn't help either. Only a complete restart of Karaf helps to reconnect.
Regards
Frank

Hi JB,
sorry for the confusion I'm using camel-activemq and not the deprecated activemq-camel version.

By the way, any chance to use camel-jms or camel-activemq instead ?
FYI, activemq-camel is now deprecated and removed from ActiveMQ 5.17.x. If you plan to upgrade to Camel 3.x, it's better to switch to camel-jms for instance.

Hi JB,
yes and I tried with failover but the error is still there.
I could see that all other configuration values showed up in my log after changing them. For me it looks like the camel-activemq component is somehow the problem here.
The component is eather not abel to get the updated configuration or the reconnection is not working properly. I will try to debug into this.

Frank
