SA 2.63, Sol 2.5.1- Syslog.c compile erros with snprintf.c

Hi

I'm trying to build the snprintf stuff in the contrib
directory (snprintf.c is not in Sol 2.5.1, I can't
upgrade yet :-().

when I do gmake in the snp dir I get the following
errors:

47 % gmake
gcc -I.   -c -o snprintf.o snprintf.c
gcc -I.   -c -o syslog.o syslog.c
syslog.c:93: conflicting types for `vsyslog'
syslog.h:184: previous declaration of `vsyslog'
syslog.c: In function `vsyslog':
syslog.c:185: warning: assignment discards qualifiers
from pointer target type
gmake: *** [syslog.o] Error 1

can anyone help?
