Rui Li commented on HIVE-15104:
-------------------------------
Hi [~xuefuz], with HIVE-17114 and HIVE-17321 the benchmark results become more stable and the improvement is a little higher. Here's the latest [100GB TPC-DS result|https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ba-AbUpJOHNb0_5PZyWQHzrH4wfRljMxQP9vA9JACHg/edit?usp=sharing].
Would you mind share your benchmark tool so that I can look into the perf degradation? Thanks.

> the same sql, running on spark and mr engine, will generate different size of shuffle data.
> i think it is because of hive on mr just serialize part of HiveKey, but hive on spark which using kryo will serialize full of Hivekey object.
> what is your opionion?
