The Idea was to make the 1.0.0 release compatible with the 0.12.*
releases and move all non-backward compatible changes to 2.0.0 . This
would e.g. mean that 1.0.0 still uses FISE as enhancement structure.
Related to this discussions I have already created a 2.0.0 release in
JIRA some time ago.

+1 .. having WAR support is essential

such as

* (Re-)Adding CORS support to 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT
* create a JAR and WAR launcher that we can release as binary.

If we follow this scheme for 1.0.0 we are not so far off a 1.0.0
release. As soon as the 0.12.1 release is done I will have some time
to work towards 1.0.0. I think the first thing will be to care about
STANBOL-1190.
