Short introduction as I joined the dev mailing list

Hi everyone,

my name is Mathias Scheffe and I am working with (earlier PhoneGap) Cordova since 7 years. We are using Cordova for a large scale enterprise app which includes nearly all official Cordova plugins and several homebrew ones.
As I have read & debugged most of the Cordova code in cordova-lib, cordova-js, cordova-android & cordova-ios I want to contribute wherever we feel in the development team that functionality can be improved.

Hi Mathias,

I can second everything that Niklas said.

Other than that I'd like to add that I already noticed your PR in
cordova-js and from a first glance it looks like a good change to me.
Unfortunately I'm currently swamped with non-Cordova work, so I haven't had
the time to give it a proper review yet.

Moreover, a lot of our resources are currently focused on preparing the
next major release of most of our packages. So reviews for other PRs might
take us longer to get to than usual.

But don't let that discourage you. Welcome to the list. I'm looking forward
to reviewing your contributions.

Hi Mathias,

A nice welcome from me. It's always great to see people who are using Cordova for some becoming interested in contributing. Do you need anything to get started? If you have experience in some of these parts of Cordova feel free to do code reviews on pull requests.

Maybe someone else here on the list has ideas where help is needed (mabye documentation).

I always think contributing is easier if you "scratch your own itch". My journey was similar. I used Cordova for a while and started doing some fixes for problems we found here and there.

You can contact me if you have questions, like how the processes work etc.
