[jira] [Created] (AIRAVATA-1984) What is 'Update Priority' in job submission interface and data movement interface used for?

Eroma created AIRAVATA-1984:
-------------------------------

Summary: What is 'Update Priority' in job submission interface and data movement interface used for?
                 Key: AIRAVATA-1984
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AIRAVATA-1984
             Project: Airavata
          Issue Type: Question
Components: Airavata System, PGA PHP Web Gateway
            Reporter: Eroma
            Assignee: Suresh Marru
             Fix For: 0.16

Currently when registering compute resources and storage resources if more than one interface is defined we can give a priority for them. But what is this information used for? That is not clear. As far as I can see it is just capturing data and not used for anything.

Is there a specific feature this is used for?
