Required If

Is there more documentation for using required if then whats on the bottom
of http://jakarta.apache.org/struts/userGuide/dev_validator.html?

I'm looking for a slightly different logic here.
I have a checkbox that should be unchecked if 2 other values are null.
Is there a way to say required to be blah (in this case N or 0 or false) if
null?
Or is this only obtainable with a custom validator?
